Cutters
Cutters and inserts equipped with K12 composite based on cubic boron nitride are intended for semi-finishing and finishing of hardened steels (HRC 40-70), cast irons, hard alloys and other difficult to process materials. Compared with elbor-R K 01 and hexanite-R K 10D, composite K12 has higher wear and impact-resistance. Composites based on cubic boron nitride has high hardness (4000-7000 kgf / mm.sq.), 2-4 times higher than hard alloys, high heat-resistance (1100-1300 ° C), chemical inertness to processed materials and viscosity to provide better work with shock loads.
Re-cutting of cutters and inserts equipped with a composite is made with diamond wheels, with a grain 160/125 on organic bond, with a diamond concentration of 150%. Afterwards finishing with a diamond wheel with a grain 28/20 on organic B3-01 bond, with a concentration of 100%.
